Mozilla browsers extensions: Deleting them can fix a number of extension issues

Corrupt extension files

Files that store information about the extensions you have installed can sometimes be corrupted. Deleting them can fix a number of extension issues; they will be regenerated the next time you start Firefox. [8][9]. Exit Firefox completely, then open your Firefox profile folder and delete these three files:

extensions.ini
extensions.cache
extensions.rdf

Q: Will swinstall require a reboot? [ edit | blog | re-post ]
A: You can check the is_reboot attribute using swinstall. For example:

root@zorro-b1 [/root]
# swlist -l fileset -a is_reboot B6849AA
# Initializing...
# Contacting target "zorro-b1"...
#
# Target: zorro-b1:/
#

# B6849AA
# B6849AA.Bastille
B6849AA.Bastille.BASTILLE false
root@zorro-b1 [/root]

is_reboot

  • Applies to filesets.

  • When set to true, is_reboot indicates that installation of the fileset will cause the system to reboot.

Flock bug report: button added to Bookmarks Toolbar is distorted

Steps to reproduce bug:

1. Add a button to the Bookmarks Toolbar (e.g. a SessionManager http://sessionmanager.mozdev.org/ button).

Expected Result: No problem.

Actual Result: The added button's image is distorted or wrong.
For example, after adding the "Reopen the most recently closed tab" button, that button looks like the Media Bar button!

Flock suggestion: Make Options panel customizable to allow user to choose between horizontal/icon view and vertical view.

Make Options panel customizable to allow user to choose between horizontal/icon view and vertical view.  Currently the Options panel is horizontal like Firefox's Options panel, but a vertical view, like SeaMonkey's Preferences panel allows for greater extension of options.
